We're accepting applications for our Spring 2026 Pilates Teacher Training Program!

Looking to deepen your understanding of movement, anatomy, and client-centered Pilates instruction? Our Pilates Teacher Training is a comprehensive, anatomy-focused program designed to equip you with the tools to teach private and group Pilates sessions with confidence.

Program Objectives

Upon successful completion, participants will be able to:

  1. Execute the complete beginner–advanced  Mat Pilates, Reformer, and Pilates Chair repertoire with precision and control.
     

  2. Create safe, progressive programs for private sessions, duets, and group classes that incorporate all of the Pilates Principles.
     

  3. Deliver clear verbal, visual, and tactile cues using anatomical terminology.
     

  4. Modify exercises effectively for prenatal clients, individuals with osteoporosis, post-rehabilitation patients, athletes, and older adults.
     

  5. Analyze movement patterns and correct compensations based on biomechanical principles to optimize performance.
     

  6. Uphold professional standards, scope of practice, and business ethics within the Pilates industry.

Prerequisites

Required:

  • Minimum 1 year of Pilates practice OR minimum 6 months of Pilates practice in addition to at least 5 years of other fitness/movement experience (by course start date)

  • A general understanding of proper body mechanics

  • Soft skills: clear communication, empathy, patience, adaptability

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in teaching, leadership, and/or management 

  • Adult CPR/AED certification (may be completed concurrently)

Complete your in-studio Teacher Training Candidate Session 

Schedule a Teacher Training Candidate Session

Within 48 hours of your application submission, the studio will send you an email with a link to schedule your mandatory Teacher Training Candidate Session. This session consists of a brief Q&A as well as a shortened Private Session led by Lexi (the program's Teacher Trainer).

By December 22nd

Receive admission decision and next steps.

We offer rolling admissions, but you will be notified via email by December 22nd at the latest. 

By December 29th

Pay deposit

A $300 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot. This is due within 30 days of receiving your admissions decision or by December 29, 2025, whichever comes first.​

Meet the Teacher Trainer

Lexi Beriswill

Teacher Trainer, Studio Owner

25 years of dance,15+ years of teaching, 10+ years of Pilates experience, 5+ years as a Rehab Tech, 3+ specialty trainings, and a lifetime of curiosity!

Lexi is a firm believer that Pilates is for ALL bodies, and she welcomes clients of all sizes and abilities. “My hope is for Pilates to continue to become more inclusive. ‘Fitness’ doesn’t look the same for everyone. Each person has their own unique experience and goals. I want Barton Springs Pilates to be known as a safe and welcoming space where all clients feel supported and heard.”
